How I feel about children

Published by hcbertsch at 10:44 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Please don’t get me wrong here.  I do not hate little kids.  I just do not understand the point of having them.  They seem like a lot of work for no good reason.  I do not have children and I do not want any.  I have never had that mothering instinct or heard the biological clock ticking away.  I am 31 years old and I have felt this way for a long time.

So, this is my first post on my new blog, which will be about living childfree and a few rants on parents who poorly raise their kids.  I would like to be able to find some more people who dislike kids and have chosen to live childfree like me.  Maybe you down right can’t stand them.  Please feel free to comment on your feelings in this blog and let me know where you stand on the issue of “to have” or “to not have” kids.

Well I am actually a parent, and quite happily. I adore my daughter. That said I do not think it’s for everyone… I think its a very individual choice.

It’s also a choice I think some people should have thought harder about before having children.

I also want to say welcome to today.com I look forward to reading your future posts. I think its very brave of you to speak-up publicly for those who make them not so popular choice to be child free. I think its even cooler that you allow comments and discussions in your child free blog.
